Ciencia Jurídica has 84 previous issues of the Boletín del Departamento de Investigaciones Jurídicas, and its purpose is to disseminate the knowledge produced by legal researchers and academics.

As a consequence, it is in the interest of the Scientific Committee and the Editorial Committee of the journal to publish only relevant articles that meet the highest quality standards. Therefore, each article received is evaluated by two independent experts in order to guarantee its transcendence and academic quality.

Thus, today, Ciencia Jurídica is an open-access scientific journal, with peer review, that welcomes legal reflection, remaining open to receive contributions from other contexts and disciplinary horizons, in several languages (Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, German).
