Abstract

Issue No. 30 of *Ciencia Jurídica* (Volume 15) brings together six articles that, from different perspectives, examine legal institutions in relation to social and historical reality. The topics range from the general theory of obligations (Roberto Sanromán Aranda) to the constitutional limits of artificial intelligence in Mexico (Eduardo Daniel Vázquez Pérez), structural gender-based violence and access to justice (Joel Adrián Rodríguez García), the constitutional history of the state of Aguascalientes (Claudio Antonio Granados Macías), and the amparo proceedings against death penalty sentences in Aguascalientes between 1874 and 1933 (Leandro Eduardo Astrain Bañuelos and Rubén Díaz López). Taken together, the articles highlight the ongoing tension between statutory law and the law as actually produced by courts, institutions, and social actors, and celebrate the journal’s fifteen years of uninterrupted publication.
