Abstract
Indigenous peoples and their rights were not considered historically in the constitutional developments in México, until 2001; with the inclusion of indigenous rights in the constitution it becomes necessary to identify who the indigenous. This article analyzes the concept of identity to determine which elements give the pattern to identify, in addition to explaining the means that it has to be recognized as a member of an aboriginal people and thus be subject to the rights enshrined in the second article of the Constitution of the United Mexican States.The authors retain the copyright and must provide in writing the authorization for the first publication, via a computer network and printed to Juridical Science.
