Abstract

In recent years, the so-called "control of conventionality" has gained great importance and visibility among the issues of international human rights protection -especially in the inter-American milieu-, on which the Inter-American Court has pronounced on numerous occasions, which has been gathered in the jurisprudence of several States of the region and which has a large and growing bibliography. A few decades ago, I referred to this issue in the commentary on an appreciable collective work of constitutional procedural law. I then alluded to a "control of internationality", which over time would become doctrinally and jurisprudentially "control of conventionality", parallel to the "control of constitutionality". Then I mentioned the sources of that control.
